When choosing a line (phone number) for ADSL
If you have more than 1 phone line into your home or office choose the phone line for ADSL with the fewest analogue devices (phones, faxes or dial up modems). If possible make sure that the line you select doesn’t have a back to base alarm or go through a phone system.

If the line you select has a back to base alarm or a phone system on it a central splitter will have to be installed. Phone us for details if you are unsure about this.

About In-line filters
The micro filter or in-line filter that is supplied with the modem needs to go on any phones or faxes, not the ADSL modem. A filter needs to be put on every analogue device connected to the ADSL enabled line. The filter should be plugged into the wall socket and the phone or fax plugged into the filter. Make sure the analogue device is plugged into the end marked ‘phone’.
